Distinctive Wood Designs specializes in custom architectural wood doors for interior and exterior applications. We offer a wide range of design and construction options for prehung units but also manufacture individual Door and Frame Components including un-machined jamb, t-bars, and glazing bead.

Exterior Wood Doors

  • NAFS PG30 Entry Units w/ Sidelites & Transoms.
  • Pivot Hinged Doors (Also NAFS Compliant).
  • Designed and constructed for exterior exposure.
  • Thermal labelling program with U-values as low as 1.40.

Fire Rated Doors & Frames

  • 20, 45, 60, & 90 Minute Fire Ratings.
  • Stile & Rail, Flush, and Glazed Style Doors.
  • Single Doors, Pairs, Sidelites, and Transoms Available.

Oversized and Extensively Customized Doors

  • Single door slab sizes available in excess of 8′ in width, 12′ in height, and 3″ in thickness.
  • Options for for customized metal cladding and irregular glass shapes.
  • Our lumber clad doors with solid wood faces up to 3/4″ in thickness allow for carving and CNC routed designs beyond what traditional veneered doors would permit. See below gallery for examples.
