Distinctive Wood Designs specializes in custom architectural wood doors for interior and exterior applications. We offer a wide range of design and construction options and are certified to produce fire rated doors & frames, NAFS, thermal, and FSC doors. We also manufacture individual Door and Frame Components including un-machined jamb, t-bars, and glazing bead.

Exterior Wood Doors

NAFS PG30 Entry Units w/ Sidelites & Transoms.
Pivot Hinged Doors (Also NAFS Compliant).
Designed and constructed for exterior exposure.
Thermal labelling program with U-values as low as 1.40.

Fire Rated Doors & Frames

20, 45, 60, & 90 Minute Fire Ratings.
Stile & Rail, Flush, and Glazed Style Doors.
Single Doors, Pairs, Sidelites, and Transoms Available.

Oversized and Extensively Customized Doors

Single door slab sizes available in excess of 8′ in width, 12′ in height, and 3″ in thickness.
Options for for customized metal cladding and irregular glass shapes.
Our lumber clad doors with solid wood faces up to 3/4″ in thickness allow for carving and CNC routed designs beyond what traditional veneered doors would permit. See below gallery for examples.
